The first DESIRE-II Web Cache Managers Workshop was held in Utrecht on the 25th and 26th February, 1999. This, the first DESIRE II training workshop, was aimed at existing web cache managers who were interested in learning more about the technology and related utilities. The workshop involved both presentation and practical hands-on sessions. The slides from the workshop are now available online.

DESIRE II is a large, pan- European co-operative development project to promote the use of the World Wide Web (WWW) in the European research community. The project has attracted substantial funding from the European Union's Fourth Framework Programme.
